More about Yahoo Messenger (Vista) یاہو کی طرف سے آنے والا نیا میسنجر

Yahoo is building a new version of its Messenger communications service specifically for the Windows Vista operating system.

Yahoo Messenger for Vista will be previewed Monday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and will be launched in public beta during the second quarter. It offers the ability to resize the contacts window and to start a chat without opening a chat window, easy access to a color wheel to change the background color, and the ability to make photos full-screen size when sharing them. Users can also combine multiple chat sessions into one window with multiple tabs and can drag and drop a contact onto the desktop for separate viewing.

Screenshots of Yahoo IM for Vista

Another new feature is the automatic creation of contact groups based on Yahoo network affinity groups of which users may be members. For instance, a user who is in the Yahoo Fantasy Football group can see other group contacts in the Messenger window or separate them out into a new window.

Yahoo Messenger for Vista also leverages the desktop search in Vista to let the user search for photos stored on the computer, and it includes new animated emoticons.

Newer Version Of Windows Live Messenger 8.5.1235.0517 Beta is leacked

    Windows Live Messenger 8.5

We have had reports of a leaked 8.5(.1235.0517). I haven't checked all this out. But Pathetic seems to believe this is official. I think I will take his word on it . Pathetic has came back with some info that a Microsoft MVP (Ignacio Osendi) leaked the BETA.

    Facts:
    - New installer icon
    - New setup look
    - New Desktop icon (with TM branding)
    - New installation path (C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger)
    - New GUI
    - Windows OneCare integration
    - New smile. Just type ('.') in a convo window

    Messenger Plus!
Does work on this version, just copy msimg32.dll from C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger to C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger and restart Messenger. msimg32.dll is a file added by Messenger Plus! which makes sure Plus! loads when Messenger is started.

    StuffPlug 3
Open up %programfiles%MSN Messenger\ and copy ALL the DLLs (including a hidden ones) to %programfiles%Windows LiveMessenger\ and then re-open WLM and have fun using SP3 again.

This leak is only in Spanish at the moment! But you can change this by looking below!

    English Fix: (Download Here)
Run the installer,  once the installation is complete, download and save this file to the folder of the new Windows Live Messenger (%programfiles%Windows Live\Messenger)  and replace the one that was already there. This should now turn a Spanish Windows Live Messenger 8.5 into a English one.
